History of film



Cinema has evolved quite a lot over the years as short films only use to be a couple of seconds and with the advance in technology  it a couple of minutes  in 1894 Thomas Edision kinetoscape  which was a peepshow- like device for individual viewing

1895 first short film publicly displayed "La sortie de l'usine", it was a 46 second clip of workers leaving a factory an it .

It wasn't until 1910 that the length of film expanded  an “short subjects" was coined. Therefore the public had a new form of entertainment an could go to the cinema an watch a number of films  
Also 1895 the Lumiere brother’s arrival of a train at la ciotat had in such shock as this was the 1st time an audience has seen a moving image moving towards them


In 1930 was labelled "The Golden Age of Hollywood” and the development of film genres


In 1950 a lot more home had TVs therefore short films were being aired on the TV until 1960s

In 1980s short films took a much different approach an were a lot darker an gave the audience something to think about by having a message
